HW
1. Complete classwork - 12 hue color circle
2. Print palette worksheet from the blog and complete mixing exercises (analagous, complimentary, split-complement, etc.). Your palettes should be related to the place you're depicting in your travel poster.
3. Come to class with a final image that you'll be working with in your painting. It can be a line drawing or a digital image. **The size doesn't matter - it will eventually be transferred to a 15" x 20" illustration board but we'll work on scaling, printing images during class if necessary.
Spend some time deciding what aspects of your location you'd like to emphasize in your travel poster. What time of day? What light qualities, mood, etc.? Keep in mind the rule of thirds and other compositional cues to create a dynamic image. Review the post on graphic paintings and think about how you can communicate your ideas in that flat style.
